I can remember back to the old standard scout kits, this is like a grown up version. Way better than the old ones and really worth the price. My kids, 8 and 12 love them. The kits seem sturdy enough.

Would have given this kit at least one more star if it had a handle that was usable and not prone to dump hot stuff on you or the ground. There has got to be an “engineer” who could put something like that together so it wouldn’t be an accident that happens more often than not. (how about a set of “grippers” to hold the pan handle in place when it’s open for use?) I’ve been practicing, but so far have not come up with a solution other than using a hot pad to steady the pan.
Compact and light weight? Yes. Measuring lines on cup? Yes.
As is, should be labeled: Use At Your Own Risk. Your Dog Will Love It.

Not a durable product for grown-ups. This is probably better used as a toy. I made the mistake of going cheap and should have got something more suitable/durable for open fire cooking. This is not the products fault, I read the discription and reviews but still wanted to keep it low budget…I wasted a few dollars but relearned a vaulable lesson-you get what you pay for!

The mess kit is made of good quality metal. Everything fits together nicely. After my son’s camping trip, we washed all of the items in the dishwasher and they cleaned nicely. Good value for the kit.

This kit will get you by on camping trips just fine. It’s cheap but worked great and had everything I needed.
